For decades, if you wanted to buy a Persian rug, you went to the rug district on the east side of mid-town manhattan. If you go now, you’ll find what you’re looking for. Sort of. They’re Persian designs, but they’re not made in Iran anymore. Tristan Ahtone reports.

C.S.I. CHALLENGE
Police have discovered three bodies on Long Island; one was apparently murdered today. But this isn't a typical case – the cops aren't real, and neither are the bodies. NATIVE ART
New York has never been seen as a major Native American art hub, and contemporary artists in the city struggle to deal with being taken seriously while competing with the "Santa Fe Scene." As a result, many Native American artists in New York are seen as novelties despite their artistic efforts. Tristan Ahtone reports.

Born in Jamaica and brought up in the inner city, Irving holds two world records: youngest person to fly solo around the world as well as first African American. They fly through the air. They feed on the ground. They take up the sidewalks. They make great pets. The pigeon, New Yorks representative bird, fills many roles for people. Some hate them, others love them, but regardless of how you feel about them, the lowly pigeon is under attack, and the battle is being fought in both city hall and on the streets.
